King’s College Doha has an enviable reputation both locally and nationally for the high quality of its sporting teams and the dedication and expertise of the school’s coaching staff. Whilst the school seeks to build upon the formidable tradition of sporting excellence at its sister school, King’s College UK, all abilities are catered for and every pupil is encouraged to develop a healthy attitude to fitness and exercise.
Pupils gain much enjoyment from expert coaching in sports including Football, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Rugby and Athletics. There are also many opportunities for pupils to try other sports in PE sessions and co-curricular activities, including Gymnastics, Karate and Badminton.
Most of our pupils will represent the school in sporting fixtures during their school career, including top-tier competitions such as the Qatar Private Primary Schools Sports (QPPSSA) and the Qatar United English Speaking Schools (QUESS) leagues. We compete in both indoor and outdoor athletic meets and come away with many titles and medals, including winning the QPPSSA Football Tournament for three years in a row.
