Apply for a place at our prestigious school and put your child on the path to an outstanding educational experience. The King’s admissions process has been designed to be a simple as possible and we will happily guide you every step of the way.

We are receiving a lot of interest for admissions in August 2024. Please apply early to ensure your child has the best possible chance of receiving a place.

Simple 4 step process

To apply for a place for your child at King’s College Doha, please complete the Online Application Form.

Our friendly admissions team will then contact you promptly to arrange an assessment for your child.

Assessment times will be pre-booked and will require a non-refundable application fee of QAR 500 (cash, cheque or bank transfer). The following documents should also be uploaded via the online application form:

• Two recent passport-size photos of your child
• Child’s passport
• Parent’s / guardian’s passport
• Child’s birth certificate
• Valid Qatar ID card for child and parents (if you are applying from overseas, please see the Overseas Applications section below)
• Up-to-date health and immunisation documentation (for child)
• A recent report from your child’s nursery or school
• Any other relevant reports relating to specific learning needs or medical requirements (allergies etc.) for your child

In accordance with the Ministry of Education (MoE) guidelines for pupil admissions in Qatar, your application cannot be considered without the necessary documents when submitting your application.

All children must be in possession of a valid Qatari Residency Permit before starting school in Qatar.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to get to know the school, experience classes and meet their peers while our teachers assess their abilities and behaviour. An informal assessment will be carried out in English and Mathematics for all children over the age of 5 to help us understand where they are in their learning and their academic potential.

Where a taster day cannot be carried out (e.g. for overseas applicants), we may ask your child to complete an online assessment and/or meet the Principal on a video call. For Pre-School and Reception aged children, a short ‘meet and greet’ session will take place and the assessment will take place in a small group to ease any nerves.

Once we have gathered feedback from staff on the outcome of the taster day and have received a report/reference from your child’s current school or nursery, you will receive a time-limited offer of a place.

The year group to which your child is admitted will be age-appropriate and in accordance with the International Education System Equivalency guidance issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in Qatar. All offers are subject to the availability of places.

Complete and return the admissions documentation, along with the Acceptance Deposit to secure your child’s place. This will be deducted from your child’s first term’s fees.

The Acceptance Deposit is QAR 7,925 for Pre-School to Year 6, QAR 8,917 for Years 7 to 10 and QAR 10,300 for Years 11 to 13.

Overseas Applications

Prospective parents and pupils wishing to join us from overseas should complete the Online Application Form and provide all the relevant information and documents, including academic reports and any behavioural reports. Our admissions team understands that a Qatar ID may not be provided.

• Ministry of Education of the country of the latest attended school
