kings college doha trips - CareersKing’s College Doha (KCD) opened in September 2016 and has quickly established itself as one of the premier British curriculum schools in Qatar.  Currently educating children aged 3 to 12 (Pre-School to Year 7) with expansion plans to cater for Year 8 (12-13 year olds) from September 2020 and then extend to a senior school and sixth form over the next few years.

The vision for King’s College Doha is to provide the best possible all – round education that empowers, inspires and nurtures every child for success as global lifelong learners. We implement this by providing:

  • a premium, diverse British education in the international context of Qatar;
  •  academic excellence for all;
  • outstanding pastoral care and opportunities for personal development; and
  • a broad range of co-curricular activities as part of a fulfilling school day.

We combine an academic focus with a broad co-curriculum, offering all our students an extended and fulfilling day. The work of our Class Teachers in Pre-School to Year 4 is combined with Specialist teaching in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Music, PE and Swimming. From Year 5 onwards and uniquely to Doha, all subjects are taught by specialist teachers. Underpinning our curriculum is the value we attach to pastoral care. We understand that children fulfil their potential when they feel happy, supported and at ease in their surroundings. All members of staff, therefore, work hard to build a strong sense of community and promote supportive relationships, ensuring that children know that they always have a peer or an adult to whom they can talk.

We enjoy a strong relationship with King’s College Taunton, our parent school in the UK, and are proud to have brought over one hundred and forty years of outstanding British education to Qatar. Set on an outstanding campus close to Doha city centre, children and teachers at King’s College Doha benefit from first-class facilities for both academic and co-curricular learning.
