King’s College UK

Delivering a first class education for over 140 years.
King’s College UK’s roots can be traced back over 600 years to the 16th century. It was named after King Alfred, King of England in the 9th Century, whose vision was to provide an education to all.

A Woodard Group School

King’s is the flagship school of the well-respected Woodard Group whose founder, Nathaniel Woodard, created a series of schools offering modern teaching, with an all-round approach. Indeed, Woodard was one of the first advocates of educating ‘the whole child’. This philosophy is an integral part of a King’s College education and ensures that pupils are not only nurtured academically but also go on to be confident, happy and responsible global citizens.

King’s remains part of the extensive Woodard Group, which educates over 30,000 pupils across approximately 50 schools, with Years 5 to 7 receiving 100% specialist teaching for each subject. Our purpose-built school welcomes pupils from age 3 to 15 – with plans to expand through to A-level.

High Academic Achievement

King’s pupils have a strong reputation for high academic achievements as their 2020 GCSE and A-level clearly demonstrate:

71% A*-B

At A-level, 71% of King’s College
pupils achieved a Grade A* – B,
with the overall pass rate being 100%.

At GCSE, almost 60% of King’s College pupils achieved a Grade 9 – 7 (A* – A), with an overall pass rate of 99.6%

Each year pupils graduate from King’s and secure places at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities including Oxford, Cambridge, King’s College London, including other revered universities in the United States.

Past Pupils

The standard of teaching is fantastic and we could not be happier.

King’s College Doha is a fantastic school.  Pastorally and academically we are incredibly happy.  Our son has been through huge change recently (new country, starting ‘big’ school, and a new baby at home all in the space of three weeks) and KCD have been exceptionally good at supporting our family with this transition.  We adore the staff, and are thrilled with our little boy’s progress so far.  One of the school’s aims is to provide a happy, safe, nurturing environment, where the children have a sense of belonging and respect for one another. I can safely say that they are achieving this daily.  The standard of teaching is fantastic and we could not be happier.  A wonderful addition to Doha. King’s is already more than just a school.

What a good school can do.

I just wanted to thank you for your amazing job that you’re doing for a long time. I know how difficult it was to motivate Renas and keep him on track despite the fact that the pandemic circumstances and difficulties on online lessons. But you did a wonderful job to find a way for him to engage in the lessons.

Tiana George’s first month of school an amazing experience.

We wanted to express our thanks for making our daughter, Tiana George’s first month of school an amazing experience. The entire process of getting the kids to settle down in a new environment was so perfectly planned and well executed. Sincere thanks to the entire team, from the staff who help us with morning drop off, to all teachers and assistant staff until our pickup.

My child had a fantastic few weeks at school.

My child had a fantastic few weeks at school. We want to thank Ms Medbou, Ms Jan and Ms Rose for all of their love and care to help him settle in school.

As you know he’s never been to school or nursery prior to joining pre school at Kings, and he was super excited to join. He had a few wobbles in his first full week, but we’re so pleased with the way his teachers helped him. Ms Medbou was also very welcoming when we met to talk about how to help him settle and really made the effort to hear us out.

We want to thank you for the unwavering support and belief instilled in the child.

We want to thank you for the unwavering support and belief instilled in the child.

It is because of your motivation and encouragement that Rudra could put away his fears and is eager to try swimming.

He always talks high of his class teacher and his special lessons teachers at King’s who inspire the child and lead as very good role models.
We take the opportunity to say a big thank you.

‘A great teacher takes a hand, opens the mind and touches the heart’.
That’s what the staff at King’s College Doha gives to our child and we express our gratitude.
