The diversity of the King’s College Doha community presents our pupils with a unique opportunity to develop a broad world view: a perspective that is shaped by an understanding of other people, rather than by suspicion or misunderstanding. That is why we are so pleased that nearly 15% of King’s pupils regularly participate in the World Scholar’s Cup, which brings together thousands of children across six continents each year, including pupils from internationally recognised British schools.
The World Scholar’s Cup is a global programme that emphasises learning while also having fun. It features six subject areas, History, Art and Music, Literature and Media, Social Studies, Science and Technology and Special Area. Participants undertake a team debate, a collaborative writing exercise and The Scholar’s Bowl quiz in a series of regional and international competitions.
This exciting initiative is offered to Prep and Senior School pupils at King’s with our extensive co-curricular activities programme.
