The intellectual life of King’s College Doha stretches way beyond the confines of the classroom, with pupils in the Prep and Senior Schools being able to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities for academic enrichment beyond the classroom. We expect every pupil to take advantage of the wide variety of academic enrichment opportunities that are available to develop a genuine love of learning for its own sake.
This may be through participation in our innovative Beacon Programme, for particularly able pupils, or through membership of the wide range of electives that are available on our state-of-the-art Mesaimeer Campus, some of which will be pupil founded and led.
We also expect pupils across all phases of the school to take full advantage of the wonderful libraries at our Al Thumama and Mesaimeer Campuses, which are fully equipped with a plethora of literature and the latest technology.
By encouraging our pupils to take full interest in the world around them they will become interested and interesting adults. This is evident through wide participation amongst Prep School pupils in the internationally revered World Scholar’s Cup, which motivates ambitious pupils from across the world to discover new academic strengths and skills. All Sixth Form pupils will also complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) as a supplement to their A-level studies, which provides an unparalleled opportunity for young people to develop essential academic and presentational skills for higher education.
