King’s College Prep School – Mesaimeer Campus (Ages 7-13)
The greatest gifts that we can give children are strong roots to give them stability and strength to enable them to reach their dreams and ambitions. At the core of all we do here at King’s College Prep School is our mission to help children gain the confidence and skills that will enable them to move to the Senior School well on the way to becoming happy and fulfilled adults.
Uniquely to Doha, King’s Prep is the only school in the city in which all subjects are led by specialist teachers from Year 5 onwards. This approach enables children to fulfil their academic potential by ensuring that they are challenged each day by teachers who are educated to degree level, and beyond, in the discipline that they teach in school.
We value the individual above all else and strive to make our pupils both proud of themselves and respectful of the individuality of others. Childhood is precious and we want all pupils in the Prep School to have plenty of time for play, fun and laughter. With children having the opportunity to remain at the Prep until they are 13, they can enjoy the fun of childhood in a pupil-centred environment into their early teenage years.
Our wonderful environment at the Mesaimeer Campus allow children the freedom and opportunities to develop themselves to the full. As well as bright, spacious and well-equipped classrooms, Prep School pupils have full use of a state-of-the-art Performing Arts and Media Centre, a 17,000m2 Sports Academy, an Art and Design Centre and an inspiring STEAM Centre.
It’s not only our dedicated campus and facilities that allow King’s pupils to excel. Our greatest asset is our talented, dedicated and inspirational staff who provide outstanding teaching and pastoral care, as well as involving themselves fully in our extensive co-curricular and elective activities programme. Most of our children opt to stay at school to take part in this as part of our extended school day.
A great educationalist once said ‘The purpose of education is not the curriculum; its most significant purpose is to form people.’
We would love to welcome you to King’s Prep and let you experience how we go about our mission.
